IR Legal Welcomes Dinesh Loganathan As Consulting Principal

IR Legal is pleased to announce the appointment of Dinesh Loganathan as Consulting Principal, strengthening our capacity to deliver expert legal services across key practice areas.

Dinesh brings extensive experience in Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Wills and Estates, and Dispute Resolution and Litigation. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2017 and to the High Court of Australia in 2019. Over the course of his career, Dinesh has appeared before various courts and tribunals in both Tasmania and Victoria, providing forceful advocacy and strategic legal insight on complex matters.

Originally from Singapore, Dinesh completed his Bachelor of Law and Business at the University of Tasmania. As a migrant, he has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by people navigating the legal system and is committed to supporting and amplifying the voices of migrant communities through his work.

Dinesh began his legal career at a boutique Tasmanian law firm, where he played a key role in the firm’s growth and developed broad experience across criminal, commercial, and civil litigation matters. Known for his critical legal analysis and innovative approach, he is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.

Beyond his legal practice, Dinesh contributes to law reform initiatives, advises political organisations, and consults for businesses. He has addressed the Tasmanian Legislative Council on multiple occasions, raising concerns on significant government bills and policy issues.
